Hydras are support monsters that specialize in attacking and debuffing lasers.

The Hydra Having an X Pattern laser debuff attack, designed to aid against the forever popular X Style base designs, regardless of the X style attack, the buffing of monster making it useful on any situation.

Appearance[]

Hydras are mechanical monsters with an alien appearance. They feature a set of tentacles with small, mouth-like pincers. They gain additional body armor plating during their transformation.

Keep it or Flip it[]

This section on every species is based around, platinum rolls, and legendary keepers. Flipping, is the process of 5 starring a PLATINUM Monster, or on the rare occasions, a Legendary and selling them for maximum profit.

The communities rating for Hydras, Is Blue -> Green -> Red, the reason blue is deemed the better hydra is because of its high percentage Slow & Team Defence buff, which are both two great abilities to take down the hard hitting insect turrets, followed closely by the green because of the turret attack reduction.

Ways of attaining Research Material

When a monster is sold, regardless of its level, you receive Research Material Which are only used for that species Upgrades, as well as one of either two District Materials, which is for District Upgrades, also Dark Matter , these Amounts Vary Depending on the level of the Monster Sold.

Hydra's are a rare monster to acquire, so when selling one, level to legend league for maximum research materials, this means less have to be flipped to max out your labs.

Hydras Mutagens[]

Mutagens?

Mutagens Grant a Passive ability in battle when mutated to a monster, 5 Star DNA is required to to be used as a transform ingredient.

Every Monster has an ultra monster mutagen available in a lucky roll of the Mutagen Creator for 50. Second mutagens have been released during but where only available for a set period of an event (Generally 2 weeks) unless you acquired one during the event you will have to wait until SMASH releases them again, this has been confirmed it will happen, just not when.

Ultra Mutage: 10% Extra Medals Rewarded During a Battle.'

DNA is what is required to be collected before your able to mutate a monster, you will need 1 DNA, a Platinum or Legendary Monster and the Mutagen.

As with the Hydra itself acquiring the DNA can take even longer, especially to get to a 5* DNA,, i would highly recommend keeping all DNA for the hydra, at least until you have a 5* Capsule.
